Your authorization. By adopting this request I authorize LION (Local Integrity Oversight Network) to act as my agent: to submit this Texas Public Information Act request on my behalf — identified to the government body only by my first name and last initial — to communicate with the body about it (including clarifying, narrowing, or withdrawing it), and to receive the responsive records and all notices for me. My full name and email stay private with LION and are not sent to the government body; my first name and last initial become part of the public record of the request.
Cost: if the body requests payment or sends a cost estimate, LION reviews it and contacts me with a recommendation — refine the request, withdraw it, or challenge the charge with the Texas Attorney General — and agrees to no payment or further action without my consent.
Enforcement: I authorize LION, as my agent, to pursue this request to completion — including sending the government body a notice when a response is overdue and filing a complaint with the Office of the Texas Attorney General on my behalf if the body fails to comply. LION will not incur any cost or payment for me, and will not file a lawsuit in my name, without my separate consent. LION may email me about this request, including a copy as filed. I may withdraw any time by emailing
[email protected]; a withdrawal after filing tells LION to withdraw the pending request for me.
You’re the requestor; LION reviews every request by hand and files it for you as your agent. Your copy comes to you in a short daily update. Nothing is filed automatically.
